  We FINALLY got the dingy grey vertical blinds in the kitchen and lounge room replaced with nice new light cream-coloured ones today. @yayKM had a seething hatred of the old ones, I didn't think they were that bad but I'll definitely grant the new ones look much nicer, and they brighten the place up quite noticeably at night.
