Our treadmill started making some fairly horrendous grinding noises a few weeks ago, we got a guy out to take a look and it turned out the bearings in both the front and rear rollers were shot. And annoyingly, we couldn't get replacement parts because the machine is ten years old and they don't make them anymore. We decided to downsize to an exercise bike instead, it was delivered today and we did some rearranging and now my guitar amps have a better place to live instead of being all jammed under my desk!
Phewwwww, that's the final episode of Star Trek: Voyager finished! All seven seasons done, and with that, all of my 1990s Star Trek watching finished.
I feel like Voyager got a bad rap, I quite enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it was up to the standards of Deep Space Nine but I enjoyed following the crew and getting to know them all, and I was sad when Neelix stayed behind in the Delta Quadrant with his new family.
I was a bit meh on Star Trek: Picard overall but I absolutely want to see the continuing adventures of Captain Seven of Nine even more now.
Had another game of Kill Team at @[email protected]'s place tonight. In news that will surprise nobody, we only got through two rounds, and I lost.
The first round started well, but it all fell apart in the second. I'm pretty sure the only time I've won with the Voidscarred is when I've played a horrendously imbalanced game against one of the not-very-good Compendium teams. 😕
We had another visit from @wobin today for more Warhammer Quest!
We're at the point where we need to fight the first big bad before we can level up to Level 2, and it's a two-part quest. The first, which is what we did today, was similar to our previous one where the map is built as you go and you have to stay ahead of the Suffocating Gravetide, and it represents fighting your way towards the big bad's lair. We did that quite handily this time, and player of the match definitely goes to my dwarf Dagnai Holdenstock who is an absolute close combat BEAST when he inspires. I don't think he missed a single attack roll once he inspired.
We didn't have time to do the second half, so we packed everything away and will do it when @wobin is back from his trip to Japan. It's a "Hunt" journey type, but the map is fixed and so are the specific hostiles you encounter as well. Very keen to see how this goes, especially because your characters keep all of their current statuses when you start the second part (so two of our four champions are inspired, and the other two are only one point away from it).
First day of my week off has started with bread. 😎
It's been a while since I've made any, five months according to my log. The yeast "expired" in May 2022 but I've just slowly been adding a bit more each time to counteract that and it seems to be going fine.
