Bread success. I've been doing a bit of fiddling around and the Overnight White Bread recipe from Flour Water Salt Yeast with 25% whole wheat flour and the water bumped to 790mL is seriously delicious.

And to round off the weekend of amazing home-cooked food, I made bread and had the leftover pulled pork from last night as a sandwich and it was gooooood.

More bread, but we've had a cold front come through and it got down to 17° inside last night, so the twelve hours of bulk fermentation was actually spot on. Notice how much taller the loaves are compared to last time!

Beanie knows the exact sound of bread being cut, and no matter when in the house he is, he'll come in to the kitchen like a shot, waiting for either crumbs to be dropped or me to give him a scrappy end piece.

Made bread! They're a little flatter than usual, I think because the overnight temperatures are getting warmer and 12 hours bulk fermentation is too much now.

I decided to up my standard lunchtime cheese and tomato toastie game with the addition of chopped-up capsicum, and boy is it excellent. Next time I think I'll add even more, it adds a really nice addition flavour and freshness.
