It's aliiiive! I might need to reposition it a little, but I'm fairly sure that it shouldn't be getting any direct sunshine where it's dangling there because there are a bunch of trees just over to the right on the other side of the fence.
I'm quite pleased with the overall architecture of my code for this whole project, it was delightfully straightforwards to find a library for the sensor and integrate it.
