I did some rearranging of the front garden today, quite pleased with the results!
The problem with the conifers in their old position (under the eaves at the left there) was they constantly needed watering because they almost never got any direct rain, and also we had to semi-regularly trim them because they'd grow tall enough that they'd hit the eaves. Both these problems should be solved now, and hopefully they'll also grow a little better because they'll be getting some more light as well.
