A photo of some sort of striped lizard with very long claws that would have easily been 30cm just from nose to back legs, with its tail being even longer, hanging vertically on the red bricks that make up the outside wall of our house. It's directly in the afternoon sun and was probably wonderfully warm.

We had a visitor today! During our game of Warhammer Quest I got a message from our next-door neighbour with a photo looking out of his kitchen window to the side of our house of this handsome fellow just chilling on the wall. I went to see if I could retrieve it and deposit it in the bushland across the street it so the Indian mynas didn't attack it, but it was WAY faster than the blue-tongue lizards we normally have to rescue and there was no chance I was going to be able to coax it into a container for relocation, which in turn meant I don't think the mynas would have had any chance of getting it either. (To be clear, this isn't the photo the neighbour sent, I took it myself because our houses aren't THAT close together. 😅)

A photo taken from behind the head of a small scruffy blonde dog, the dog is staring over the edge of a large grey planter box looking directly at a ~10cm long skink that's sitting in the bottom of the planter.

Beanie's lizard friend was back this morning. He was staring at it like this for a solid two or three minutes.

A photo of a small scruffy brown dog sitting and staring directly at the side of an empty dark grey planter box. Inside the planter box is a skink just sitting there with its head up.

There's a lizard that lives in the empty planter box under our pergola and Beanie is OBSESSED with it. I don't know what he thinks he's going to do, he's never going to catch it!
