Kristina had a physio appointment for 7:30pm tonight so she had a late dinner, and I had a hella bachelor dinner: an Aldi rösti with poached eggs that were done in our microwave poaching jobbie.
(I had it with ketchup and it was actually surprisingly delicious. It was also 500g of rösti so I didn't end up eating ALL of it. That's a dinner plate that the food is sitting on, for scale.)
Now that the COVID-19 restrictions are being loosened here a bit, last night we went over to see some friends for dinner for the first time in about three months! After dinner we broke out the 2005 edition of Trivial Pursuit they have, and I can report that it hasn't changed from the 80s one with the amount of "Who the hell even is this person" questions, haha.
Hell yeah, we had a remote team event today where everyone made laksa for lunch (laksa is one of the staples when we'd go out for lunch when we were in the office), I followed https://www.recipetineats.com/laksa-soup/ and it came out EXCELLENTLY. Not as good as our regular laksa place in the city, but I've definitely bought it from places that weren't nearly as nice.
Advantage of my standing desk: I can lift it up just enough so Beanie can fit under it while being on my lap and I'm sitting sitting fully forward at it, rather than having to have my chair pushed back.
