Jam session success! We mostly did improvisation and got some seriously excellent grooves going. I asked how my drumming was afterwards (one of the people there is actually in a band, though I have no idea how serious an endeavour it is) and they said "Really good!" 😁 Feels good, man.
And you can tell we're getting into Christmas season, the enormous Christmas tree in Martin Place is very nearly finished. We were out getting a coffee after lunch and there was a guy up in a cherry picker putting the huge balls on that were a significant fraction the height of him.
Also one of the people started playing the intro riff to Tool's Schism so now I'm listening to Lateralus on the trip home.
