A wide-angle photo taken from the bottom of the set of three escalators looking up them on the Metro platform at Sydney's Central station. It's a big open area with geometric textured sandstone-coloured walls above.

And now we're heading back home on the Metro, having dropped @yayKM's mum off at the airport. I don't think we've used public transport this much since pre-COVID!

A photo of the tunnel right as you leave Gadigal station. It's brightly lit with walls that curve up and are corrugated to deaden echoes. The bottom half of the walls are an off-white, and the top half are alternating black and white, and the roof is black. It's very visually striking.

A photo of the HUGE mural at the middle set of escalators at Gadigal station. It's multiple storeys high, tiled, and features a bright cheerful yellow background with a blue tunnel painted in the middle that curves off the right.

A photo taken from the top of the escalators down into the Metro platform at Barangaroo. The walls are roughly-cut sandstone with some sort of leafy (I think?) art decoration at the right.

Today we took the bus to the Metro, then the Metro in to the city so we could go visit the Sydney Aquarium! Have I mentioned how good the Metro is? Because I feel like it bears repeating, it's SO GOOD. We got off in the morning at Gadigal station, and after we finished with the aquarium we walked north and then took the Metro from Barangaroo back to Tallawong. They've done such a fantastic job with the interior of the stations, it's bright and modern and interesting, I love it. I bought the DSLR along so I could take photos in the aquarium, and I got some shots of our wanderings through Barangaroo that I'm really happy with too: https://www.flickr.com/photos/virtualwolf/albums/72177720319896084

A wide-angle photo looking down from our Level 30 office in Sydney's CBD. There are a number of shorter buildings directly below, and some taller ones forming a bit of a wall further out. The sky is grey and foggy and everything is wet because it's just been raining.

I am once again in the office and thoroughly enjoying view. Bit of a miserable day though.

And the final day of delicious paid-for-by-work food was Mr. Wong's, we went there last year and it was amazing and was just as good this year. There's nothing for scale on the photo of the deep-fried ice cream ball but it was about the size of a softball (we went halves, there was no possible way I could have eaten the whole lot).

A photo of a big bowl of tonkotsu ramen, with two hard-boiled eggs and slices of pork floating in the broth.

Day two of team event involved stopping actual work at 11:30am and going to Cockatoo Island for hanging out and drinks and nibblies. I took some RAW photos with my iPhone that I'll process and put on Flickr (assuming they come out any good, it was very grey and dreary so they might actually be just flat and boring). Then we went out for ramen at Ippudo for dinner and it was gooood.

A photo of the inside of an open office area with a number of individual low tables and chairs, and a BUNCH of big plants that reach up almost to the ceiling, so it almost feels like you're in a rainforest.

Another section of the office, it's all clean light colours (but not in an antiseptic way), with light coloured wooden tables and chairs and cupboard panels, and a big commercial espresso machine sitting in the middle.

One last view looking down a quite large open area, still in the light colours but with a (currently closed because it's night time) self-service salad bar in the middle and the base of the bar is a bold red splash of colour in the middle of the lighter colours surrounding it.

They did a big revamp of the reception/kitchen level at work, and man it looks great. We even have an in-house barista in the morning now!

A photo taken from the 28th floor of our office building looking out over Sydney's CBD. Lots of tall buildings, with shorter ones directly below. The sky is a lovely blue colour and what I think is North Sydney is distantly visible through a gap between two of the buildings.

Man, the view from our office never gets old. (Though I also thoroughly enjoy NOT be required to come in, I should point out.) We had a team dinner tonight at Long Chim and it was absolutely spectacular, and lots of fun conversations with co-workers. A++ would team dinner again.
