A photo of the box of Warhammer Underworlds: Nethermaze, and the Exiled Dead warband. The box art for Nethermaze has an elf with a full face mask on, with long hair and she's wielding a sword and staff. Underneath that are more elves in combat with sneaky-looking rat-men, the Skaven. The Exiled Dead warband is a bunch of zombies that have a very Frankenstein mad-scientist vibe to them, several have metal pieces coming out of them with electricity crackling around.

Yassss, moar plastic.

A photo of the four elven miniatures that make up The Shadeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds: Nethermaze. They're all in very dynamic poses, all lithe and mid-leap. The painting is a black undercoat with white airbrushed from the top angles of the miniature so it really gives a sense of depth as all of the lower surfaces are darker, as they would be if they were lit up directly from above.

The five Skaven from Warhammer Underworlds: Nethermaze. Skaven are sneaky, tricksy ratmen, and these ones are in very dynamic poses as well and look like they're about to attack. The bases are sculpted to look like they're lurking in a sewer, and the painting has been done in the same way as the Shadeborn: black undercoat with white airbrushed from the top so it looks like they're being lit from above.

Well, I'm not remotely confident enough to do actual painting with my airbrush, but I reckon I've got the hang of this zenithal highlighting thing.

A photo of the side and rear of a hunched-over zombie that has poles coming out of its back. The poles are connected to each other via wires, and the wires are MEANT to look like they're lit up with electricity and there's light being cast on its back but... it doesn't look very good.

Another zombie but from the front and, this one is upright and mid-shamble with one hand reaching out in front of it. It's got the same poles and wires sticking up from behind it that the other one did, but I didn't bother doing the lighting effect and they're just dark green. The zombie's skin is mostly skin-coloured but with an unnatural green hue to it and you can see part of its brain where the top of its skull is missing.

I decided to start on the Warhammer Underworlds warband The Exiled Dead, tried doing some object source lighting on the first one and it looks pretty shit, to the point that I may just re-base coat it tomorrow and start over. Really happy with the second though!
