Mid-week #WarhammerUnderworlds with @[email protected]! This time it was me playing the tricksy Skaven, Skittershank's Clawpack, and him playing Khagra's Ravagers. I'd played the Clawpack once before and it went disastrously poorly, but it seems to depend entirely on the cards you draw and when. This time was FAR better, there were lots of fun things to do and we ended up calling it at the end of the second round when I was ahead 13-7 and @[email protected] had only a single fighter left.

And tonight's Wednesday night gaming was Warhammer Underworlds! Khagra's Ravagers versus Grashrak's Despoilers. The Despoilers were mine, made with the new Nemesis format, and while I won 12-8, I don't think the Tooth and Claw deck is the right one for them, they're a bit too fragile to be wading into combat.

First game of Warhammer Underworlds with the new Gnarlwood rules, Ironsoul's Condemnors vs. the Shadeborn! I used Battle Mallet's suggested Nemesis deck (https://www.battle-mallet.com/nemesis-decks/) for the Condemnors because it turned out the one I had put together a while back sucked, and it was very fun, but ended up very one-sided, oops. It was partially due to some lucky rolling on my part, but we called it half-way through the second turn out of three total because I'd wiped out @yayKM's warband entirely and the score was already 9-5. Fighter of the match goes to Brodus Blightblade who single-handedly killed two of the four enemy warriors outright (the first one in the first activation of turn one) and did two out of three damage to a third one that allowed me to ping that third one for an extra one damage to kill him. I really like the new rule changes for activations specifically, and the Nemesis format is great.

Miniatures for the miniatures god! Plus one of the new Rivals decks, which are a great idea to simplify things because it means you don't have to screw about with deck building.

First game of Warhammer Underworlds in a little while, the vampires of the Crimson Court vs. sneaky aelves of the Shadeborn. It was a very low-scoring game, I won with the Court 9-7 but on THREE separate occasions @yayKM needed to roll a critical success (essentially rolling a 6 on one single D6) or one of her characters would die, and she managed it all three times.

I took Khorne's finest for a spin tonight, and while they ended up winning 14-5 (and are quite fun to play, to boot!), at the start of the last round it really could have gone either way. My leader had one single wound left and I had several things that relied on him being alive. 😬

And that's the Gorechosen of Dromm done! Very happy with these, I did actually almost zero drybrushing, it's all manual highlighting (look closely at the edges of the red armour plating for example).

The Gorechosen are coming along nicely! No highlighting done yet, beyond the skin, but I'm very happy with how they're looking already.

Refresh day progress! It always takes longer than I think it does if I'm sitting down and doing it for like a day straight, rather than just in bursts for a couple of hours after dinner.
