We went over to @[email protected]'s this afternoon to introduce him to Warhammer Underworlds! He played Morgok's Krushas, @yayKM had the Gorechosen of Dromm, and I played Skittershank's Clawpack, which in retrospect was a terrible choice because the Clawpack inspire by killing enemy leaders, and both the enemy leaders had 5 wounds. I was also extremely let down by multiple poor rolls, and @[email protected] ended up winning at 17-15-5. Definitely keen for another game soon, but I'll definitely NOT be taking the Clawpack again against those two warbands. 😛 One of my little Skaven minions got HORRIBLY ganged up on by all three of the Krushas, he weathered two of their attacks but sadly couldn't make the final one and ended up getting extremely squished.

A photo of a finished game of Carcassonne. It consists of a bunch of square tiles with medieval castles, roads, and churches on them, with green grass in between. Normally there'd be a bunch of little coloured wooden people on it to signify who has controlled what in terms of scoring points.

A photo of a game of King of Tokyo. This is much less involved, there's three cutouts of monsters standing upright and a small board with a cartoon version of the coastline of Tokyo and its buildings, plus a number of cards with cartoony artwork on them.

We went over to @[email protected]'s for board games tonight! First was a four-player game of Carcassone, which is the first time I've played it physically, which I won 62-48-43-39 (though forgot to take a photo of the board before the scoring was done), and two three-player games of King of Tokyo which we'd not even heard of before but was quite fun. @[email protected] won both games of King of Tokyo, the first one wasn't even close thanks to a whole bunch of ridiculously good dice rolling, but the second came down to the absolute wire between him and @yayKM and it really could have gone either way.

We went over for a barbecue and games at @[email protected]'s place today! Most excellent fun, next plan is for me to make another pulled pork during the day and then go over and introduce everyone to Warhammer Underworlds, aw yiss.

The light levels are fairly low, and there's BIG wicker light fixtures hanging down from the ceiling with tassels hanging from the bottom of the wicker. The wall at the back-left is made from concrete blocks with holes in the middle, and behind THOSE is another wall that's been lit up.

A photo of a half rack of beef ribs and chunky chips on a wooden board. (The board actually made sense for this because it gave lots of room to put the finished ribs on rather than needing a separate bowl.) It looks delicious and it really really was.

A night-time photo looking across a lake with big trees on the shore and the tops of unit blocks poking up behind them.

Topped off the day by going out to Meat & Wine Co. and having ribs, and holy shit it was amazing. 👌🏻The inside of the place was really cool as well, it felt like we were in a super-fancy lounge or something.
