I'm excited to see what interesting things I can do with these little basing grass tufts and the "muddy ground" texture! Got a few ideas already, and definitely no lack of miniatures on which to use them. And I decided to pick up the Grymwatch having seen someone do a WAY cooler paint job with them than the standard one.

We went back to OG Beastgrave for our game of Warhammer Underworlds tonight, Grashrak's Despoilers vs. Skaeth's Wild Hunt. I've been watching videos from Tabletop Sydney where they play Underworlds and so have been getting a really firm grasp of tactics, and Kristina was a bit concerned that she'd just never end up winning again. So for this game I played an advisory role and Kristina ended up winning 14-8!our house darkroom gaming games workshop warhammer underworlds beastgrave skaeth's wild hunt grashrak's despoilers

Had another four-player game of Warhammer Underworlds today! I played Hrothgorn's Mantrappers for the first time and won with them. Though next time we're going to do two 1v1 games, because a four-player game with three people who aren't experts takes a while, haha.darkroom gaming games workshop warhammer underworlds beastgrave rhodes grashrak's despoilers lady harrow's mournflight morgok's krushas hrothgorn's mantrappers

Another night of Ben over for Warhammer Underworlds and dinner and getting Beanie used to having people over, and it was a smashing success. It only took Beanie maybe 15 minutes to calm himself down (we gave him the same amount of calming medicine as last time), and have booked in another night for the same again, so really interested to see how that goes.our house darkroom gaming games workshop warhammer underworlds beastgrave direchasm grashrak's despoilers myari's purifiers morgwaeth's blade coven

We got some new medicine for Beanie to give him before someone comes over, to hopefully stop him freaking out and barking the whole time. Ben came over for dinner and a couple of games of Warhammer Underworlds, and I'm delighted to report that the medicine worked a treat! Beanie did his usual barking to start with, but he was able to calm down afterwards and we had a lovely quiet evening! We're going to schedule some more games and visits from Ben and hopefully get Beanie used to people again, and fingers crossed can taper off the medicine so we can have people over to our house like we used to be able to without needing to give Beanie anything at all. 🤞🏻beanie our house darkroom gaming games workshop warhammer underworlds beastgrave direchasm grashrak's despoilers myari's purifiers morgwaeth's blade coven lady harrow's mournflight morgok's krushas

Played our first game of Warhammer Underworlds with the new terrain! I love it, it adds so much visual interest to the board. (I gave up on the murder-ladies for the moment, I need to tweak the deck a bit, and went back to the Dread Pageant. Ended up winning 15-8!).our house gaming games workshop warhammer underworlds beastgrave direchasm the dread pageant lady harrow's mournflight

It was spooky ladies versus murder ladies tonight! Unfortunately the murder ladies are now two losses out of two games played. Partially my fault again, they require a lot more careful play than some of the other warbands, and I screwed up placing the objective tokens. Kristina had some very tricksy plays too though, which screwed me over at a couple of points!our house darkroom gaming games workshop warhammer underworlds beastgrave morgwaeth's blade coven lady harrow's mournflight

Another game of Warhammer Underworlds tonight! I played my murder-ladies for the first time (Morgwaeth's Blade-coven) and sadly didn't win. I can definitely see the potential though, and there were some very unlucky dice rolls at a few critical points. They're pretty sneaky as befits aelves, keen to play a few more games with them.

Oh man, I just did my first ever glaze for miniature painting (I thinned out Flesh Tearers Red with Contrast Medium in a 1:8 ratio), and hot damn am I a convert. Look at how rich that red looks now!
