We had Ben over again for Beanie socialising and Warhammer Underworlds this afternoon! The Beanie socialising went extremely well, we gave him one single one of his calming pills this time and we can definitely go entirely without them next time. The game of Warhammer Underworlds was SO GOOD, and INSANELY close! Ben won again with 13, but Kristina and I tied on 12! It seriously could have gone any way.beanie our house darkroom gaming games workshop warhammer underworlds beastgrave direchasm the wurmspat the crimson court the grymwatch harrowdeep

We played our first game of Warhammer Underworlds with the new Harrowdeep rules, and using the two warbands I most recently painted! It was SUPER fun and ended up being a draw at 11 each. I went over to the lounge to pack things up and unsurprisingly Beanie was entirely amongst it.beanie our house dog darkroom gaming warhammer underworlds beastgrave direchasm the crimson court the grymwatch harrowdeep

Oh man, this blood effect paint (called appropriately enough "Blood for the Blood God") is amazing/horrific.

For the first time since May of last year, I've actually fully completed a painting project! This is the Warhammer Underworlds warband The Grymwatch, they're a band of ghouls who are completely insane and think they're a noble band of knights but they're actually just, well, flesh-eating ghouls. (Technically they're not actually fully completed quite yet, I still need to varnish them and then apply blood effects, but that's going to have to wait until it's a) not above 25˚C and b) not humid).

That was a productive day, I got ALL the rest of the Warhammer Underworlds warbands assembled! We have the Grymwatch, Kainan's Reapers, the Starblood Stalkers, and Khagra's Ravagers. Of course, it remains to be seen how long it'll be before they're actually painted. 😛 (I should point out that this is more work I've done with my miniatures in the last two days than I'd previously done in the last seven months).our house darkroom games workshop painting warhammer underworlds beastgrave direchasm khagra's ravagers kainan's reapers the grymwatch the starblood stalkers

I'm excited to see what interesting things I can do with these little basing grass tufts and the "muddy ground" texture! Got a few ideas already, and definitely no lack of miniatures on which to use them. And I decided to pick up the Grymwatch having seen someone do a WAY cooler paint job with them than the standard one.our house darkroom games workshop painting warhammer underworlds beastgrave the grymwatch new miniatures
