A photo of the box of the Warhammer Underworlds warband "The Grymwatch", which are essentially zombies. Also a bunch of little different coloured tufts of grass that are designed to stick onto a miniature's base and add visual interest, and a tub of "muddy ground" brown texture paint, also for basing.

I'm excited to see what interesting things I can do with these little basing grass tufts and the "muddy ground" texture! Got a few ideas already, and definitely no lack of miniatures on which to use them. And I decided to pick up the Grymwatch having seen someone do a WAY cooler paint job with them than the standard one.

A photo of seven miniatures, all are painted in a purply-green zombie flesh-type colour. One of them is standing on the back of someone in armour who's lying face down, and has torn his arm off and is busily gnawing on it, another's holding a severed head. There's also two bats in mid-flight who are dragging a headless torso along the ground.

For the first time since May of last year, I've actually fully completed a painting project! This is the Warhammer Underworlds warband The Grymwatch, they're a band of ghouls who are completely insane and think they're a noble band of knights but they're actually just, well, flesh-eating ghouls. (Technically they're not actually fully completed quite yet, I still need to varnish them and then apply blood effects, but that's going to have to wait until it's a) not above 25˚C and b) not humid).

All seven ghouls' mouths, hands, and feet are all covered in what looks like fresh blood like they've just fed.

Oh man, this blood effect paint (called appropriately enough "Blood for the Blood God") is amazing/horrific.
