First game of Warhammer Underworlds with the new Gnarlwood rules, Ironsoul's Condemnors vs. the Shadeborn! I used Battle Mallet's suggested Nemesis deck (https://www.battle-mallet.com/nemesis-decks/) for the Condemnors because it turned out the one I had put together a while back sucked, and it was very fun, but ended up very one-sided, oops. It was partially due to some lucky rolling on my part, but we called it half-way through the second turn out of three total because I'd wiped out @yayKM's warband entirely and the score was already 9-5. Fighter of the match goes to Brodus Blightblade who single-handedly killed two of the four enemy warriors outright (the first one in the first activation of turn one) and did two out of three damage to a third one that allowed me to ping that third one for an extra one damage to kill him. I really like the new rule changes for activations specifically, and the Nemesis format is great.

On the board were my warband of six armoured skeletons, four spooky ghost-looking things, four lithe elves, and three lightly armoured humans alongside a big S&M-looking goat-man.

Mid-week gaming this week was a FOUR-player game of Warhammer Underworlds! Unsurprisingly we only got through one round, but one of the players hadn't even played before. I managed to eke out a win on 8 glory, and Kristina came back from nowhere to finish on 7.

We had another visit from @[email protected] today. Beanie barked a bit more than he has previously but it'd been a while, and it was more of an "I'm excited" kind of thing and not "Oh god who is this!" We played our standard game of Warhammer Underworlds, me playing Lady Harrow's Mournflight (the spirits), Kristina playing Myari's Purifiers (the elves) and @[email protected] playing The Grymwatch (the ghouls) for the first time. Despite a shocking start from @[email protected], he staged a hell of a comeback and the final score ended up with me on 11, him on 9, and Kristina on 8.

Got our Warhammer Underworlds on again tonight! Kristina went back to the aelves and I played Ironsoul's Condemnors. The final score was 10-7 to Kristina, but it was not remotely as close as it sounds, I REALLY need to go in and tweak the Condemnors deck. Lotta suck in it that needs removing.

We had Ben over again today for a Beanie visit and some Warhammer Underworlds. The Beanie visit went very well, we didn't even give Beanie any of his medicine and he'd pretty well calmed down inside of ten minutes! Warhammer Underworlds ended up being extremely close, Ben and I tied for the win on 10 glory, and Kristina got 9! And then we went to a pub near us for dinner and I had a burger and it was excellent. 👌🏻

Went over to a friend's house tonight for a cheeky mid-week game of Warhammer Underworlds. Despite never having played and being down to one fighter at the end, he won 14 to 11! (Partially my fault, I got a bit greedy.)

We had a visit from Ben today! 😮 Beanie definitely remembered him, though we gave him a full dose of the calming medicine and he was still barky to start with but calmed down faster than we expected. Played another game of Warhammer Underworlds which was a very low-scoring game, mostly because nobody was able to kill each other because both people kept rolling crits on the attack but then also getting them on defense.

More Warhammer Underworlds tonight, Kristina's really enjoying playing Morgok's Krushas. This ended up being a SUPER close game, Kristina won it 12 glory to 11!

We had another visit from Ben today, dropped Beanie down to one single one of his pills, and honestly I think we could have entirely done without them! Beanie didn't even bark to start with, and after that it was just excited barking rather than panicked. We played Warhammer Underworlds again but with me in an advisory role and it went really well, was a close game right up until the end.
