The box of the Warhammer Underworlds warband "Grinkrak's Looncourt". The art on the box has black-clad goblins wielding various weapons. There's also the box for a deck called "Fearsome Fortress," the art on that has stairs up the side of a ziggurat and the field of view towards it is being encroached on by brown vines.

Miniatures for the miniatures god! Plus one of the new Rivals decks, which are a great idea to simplify things because it means you don't have to screw about with deck building.

A photo of the seven armoured goblins from the Warhammer Underworlds warband Grinkrak's Looncourt. They're all very characterful, the highlights are one wielding a squig that's been attached to a stick, another hiding behind a wooden door while a second one is on his shoulders and pulling back another squig that's about to be launched catapult-style, and a third riding a very large and angry-looking squig and has a large mallet head attached to the pole he's holding. The others just have mostly regular weapons and Grinkrak himself has what looks like a jester's hat on.

(A squid is a small angry creature that consists of mostly teeth.)

A photo of the four shamanistic-looking warriors of the Warhammer Underworlds warband the Gnarlspirit Pack. They're all dressed in leathers and furs and the leader has a large animal skull on his head. His left arm is too slightly larger than normal and looks like something out of the movie Aliens, and is wielding/has growing out of the hand a blade that looks like it may be bone.

And that's the Looncourt assembled and undercoated! I did the Gnarlspirit Pack from the Gnarlwood core box as well, and the keen-eyed (and/or Warhammer 40,000 nerds) amongst you will notice that the leader's arm doesn't quite look right. That's because it's the arm of a Tyranid Genestealer that I put on because the thumb on his regular arm had broken off in the box, so I just chopped the whole arm off and replaced it with this one. Annoyingly I had a similar issue with the head of the leader of the other warbands from that same box, the Sons of Velmorn, the box must have been REALLY banged up in transit. 😕 I'm undecided whether I'm going to actually spend the time to paint up the leader with the replacement arm, haha. (I contacted the place I bought them from and it's no hassle to get new sprues sent out, just annoying.)

Two fully-painted goblin miniatures, they're both very characterful, short, and are wearing black robes. One has a helmet on that leaves his face bare but has a big pointy chin bit in the armour, and is holding a yellow shield in one hand and a sword aloft in the other. The other has a full face mask and you can't actually see his face at all, and he's holding a yellow shield aloft and is carrying what looks like a wooden lance but with a sword blade attached to the end of it.

I'm taking a break from Warhammer Quest and Kill Team to get stuck back into some Warhammer Underworlds! I decided to start the goblins of Grinkrak's Looncourt and have done two of the little fellas so far. I'm just doing the box art scheme because it's simple and I like the look of it, keen to get the other five done and get them onto the table.
