I made bread rolls! I followed a recipe (https://www.melskitchencafe.com/french-bread-rolls/) and made them larger than the recipe said because we're going to be having them with burgers, but they look really good! They're very fluffy.

Aww yiss. I love our solar panels, the oven was on at 245°C for a good three hours or so all up to make this bread, and all that power was 100% generated from the panels, no importing from the grid at all.

Feeling much better about bread things today having ditched the sourdough starter last night. I went back to my usual overnight white bread and baked it uncovered for 15 minutes after the initial 30 minutes covered and it looks gooood.

I'm now the proud owner of a 5kg bag of atta flour thanks to our local Indian grocery store, so my sourdough starter has begun! I'm very excited!

We've not been able to find bread flour for a couple of weeks and so have been rationing it a bit, but have tons of "00" flour, so I decided to experiment last night. 50% bread flour, 40% "00", and 10% whole wheat. I dropped the water down from 780g to 760g as well, and it's come out deliciously, if a little hole-y!
