Two pieces of terrain from the Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team: Octarius box. They're both walls but EXTREMELY ramshackle made from scrap, like corrugated metal and panels and part what looks like the door from a vehicle and so on. It's all totally worn and rusted-out.

Another piece of scrap wall in the same fashion as the first, this one has what looks like part of a big tank (the container not the vehicle) and rather incongruously has several coloured lights strung along the top of the wall.

Got the scrap walls finished too! I tried doing some lighting effects with the globes, with varying degrees of success. This was a little bit more work than the last terrain bits, but not by too much, and it was mostly mucking around trying to get the globes looking decent.

A photo of three of the terrain scrap/junk piles from the Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team: Octarius box that came out in July last year and has remained shamefully unpainted until now. They're all just a jumble of pipes and scraps of metal and fans and fuel tank and gears and such, and all are brown and worn and rusty-looking.

Well, they're not going to win any awards, but I reckon that's a pretty decent result for about two and a half hours work. A friend pointed out that I should really just drybrush my damn Kill Team: Octarius terrain and get it over with, and it turns out he's not wrong! I'm going to wait to do the really large pieces until my extra-large drybrush arrives though. (High Elf for scale.)

Tonight's game of Kill Team went very differently from the first one a few weeks ago! I ended up absolutely thrashing the friend I was playing against, 8 victory points to 3, and we didn't end up playing the fourth turn because he was down to one single unit at the end of the third. Though he kindly pointed out after the game that my deployment was very bad and he held back a bit from just totally destroying my troops on the first turn so it wouldn't be a lopsided game. 😅

We actually finished the game! 😮 I lost, partially because we weren't playing with the extra bits to allow for more victory points to simplify things, but also because there was so much to keep track of I kept forgetting about various abilities. Still, keen for the next game!

We FINALLY got a game of the new Kill Team in! We played without tac-ops or equipment just to streamline things a bit, and only got two out of the four turns done, but it was really good, can't wait to play more.

A photo of the unpainted grey plastic terrain from the new Kill Team: Octarius box. It's an Ork settlement and everything has a very Mad Max vibe, it's all ramshackle structures made from panels of metal hammered haphazardly together, there's a big oil derrick in the middle, and lots of piles of scraps of metal and pieces of junk.

Man, the amount of terrain in this Kill Team box is nuts.
