Kristina got a new job that she's really excited about (in the same company she's already at), which is also a promotion, so went went out to dinner to celebrate and I got a laksa and it was gooood! (It was no Laksa King, but then very little is, and our local Thai place is not even ten minutes drive from us, versus Laksa King that's in the city and so an hour train trip away. 😛)

I had another rubbish night's sleep last night (my right thigh muscles and lower back have been sore, enough that it keeps me awake if I don't take ibuprofen), so I called the physiologist and managed to get an appointment this afternoon. After a bunch of stretching and questions and testing, he reckoned it was most likely because my back is REALLLLY stiff and it's not quite _pinching_ a nerve but enough that it's causing signalling weirdness to my leg. He gave me a thorough massaging and I've got some exercises to do and will see how it goes and will go in again next week. So tonight we went out for Thai for dinner and bought some crushed peanuts on the way back to take @[email protected]'s advice with the ice cream and Ice Magic from last time, and HOT DAMN was she on the money! 👌🏻

A photo of beef Pad See Ew on a plate. It looks (and was) delicious!

A photo of dessert which was billed as "banana with sticky rice and ice cream". The banana seemed like it'd been smushed and shaped around a core of bean paste. Not very appetising-looking but was really tasty.

Kristina had a sudden hankering for Thai tonight so we went to our local Thai restaurant and it was excellent as always.
