My Dreadnaught got, uh, slightly swarmed. (We lost due to not paying enough attention to objectives, though we also didn't actually finish all the turns before my teammate had to get back home so technically it could have gone either way.)

We played another game of Fireteam today, this time with fully-painted miniatures, and I added some (not fully-painted) terrain pieces on the blocked hexes for visual interest! Lots of fun, the mechanics and flow are good, but given the mission we did was the introductory mission, I don't understand how the Necrons can possibly win. I guess I'll need to do some research.

I got the three Necron Scarab swarms done today, and I am fucking STOKED at how well the gems on their backs came out! They look like they're actually glass!

BAM, that's the Necron Warriors from Fireteam fully done! That crackle paint on the bases is so freaking cool, and I love the little dry shrubs as well. I've still got the three Scarab swarms to paint, but they'll be far faster to do. Then after that, five Space Marines, and that'll be the whole Fireteam box completely finished. 🎉

Got my first Necron done! I kept it pretty simple since I have another nine of them to paint. Check out that base, it's this special paint called Martian Ironearth from Games Workshop that cracks as it dries!

I played a game of Fireteam against myself tonight, just to get a hang of the rules. I really like it! It's pretty straightforwards and nice and fast-paced.

Last night we played more Kill Team! It was a three-player game on two boards, unfortunately Nurgle's finest got some REALLY unlucky dice rolls (and the fucking Necrons kept reanimating!).
