Skaeth's WIld Hunt are on one side, and they're all elegant and flowing wood elf-like creatures, with the leader being a centaur, and on the other side Grashrak's Despoilers are ugly and brutish-looking goat-men.

We went back to OG Beastgrave for our game of Warhammer Underworlds tonight, Grashrak's Despoilers vs. Skaeth's Wild Hunt. I've been watching videos from Tabletop Sydney where they play Underworlds and so have been getting a really firm grasp of tactics, and Kristina was a bit concerned that she'd just never end up winning again. So for this game I played an advisory role and Kristina ended up winning 14-8!

We went over to a friend's place today and played our first game of four-player Warhammer Underworlds! The two friends who'd never played it before ended up coming first and second, haha. I played the Wurmspat for the first time and lost horribly, the dice gods SHAT on me, both for rolling my own dice and having my successful attacks all defended against. Still had a lot of fun though!

A photo of Karthaen's character card with a bunch of upgrades: Great Fortitude (+1 wounds), Great Strength (+1 damage), Eye of Kurnoth (+1 dice to attack actions), Might of Kurnoth (a temporary +1 damage upgrade), and Kurnoth's Mark (grants the ability to re-roll one dice in the defence roll).

Tonight Kristina and I played Warhammer Underworlds: Beastgrave again, this time with fully painted miniatures (🎉), and GOD DAMN it was a close game! She was smashing me by the middle of the 2nd round, my leader was out of action as were two others and I only had two left. I managed to pull off a win though, by one single glory point. Champion of the match goes to Karthaen who was upgraded to be an absolute BEAST and single-handedly took out three enemy fighters on his own.

A photo of a mostly-painted miniature from Warhammer Underworlds: Beastgrave. It's a humanoid with a wild shock of orange hair, he's got backwards-jointed hoofed legs, and is blowing a very large curved golden horn.

I can't emphasise how much I love Games Workshop's "Contrast" paints. It took me a bit under two hours to go from nothing but undercoat to this point.

Woot, got the Beastgrave miniatures put together! The amount of detail in Games Workshop's plastic miniatures these days never ceases to amaze me.

Yasss. (Sadly not opening it yet because it's a Christmas present). I only have the original core set, looking forward to seeing how the new magic component is!
