This... doesn't seem comfortable.

Yessss, Mikazuki again, this time with @wobin. Got the chicken katsu curry don and it was EPIC. I made the mistake of also getting the same Brussels sprouts as I got last time and it was far too much food and oh god I'm so full.

Apparently an iPad is a comfortable place to put your head.

Just finished the test miniature for my colour scheme for the Genestealer Cults squad for Kill Team I have. Pretty happy with how it came out, the usual thing with the GSC is that they're all wearing industrial gear so I wanted to do something different and so made it look like they're wading through a swamp instead. There's also a pool of gross-looking green swampy water at his feet but you can't really see it at this angle due to the grass. I'll have to make a point of not covering that up so much next time, oops.

And tonight's Wednesday night gaming was Warhammer Underworlds! Khagra's Ravagers versus Grashrak's Despoilers. The Despoilers were mine, made with the new Nemesis format, and while I won 12-8, I don't think the Tooth and Claw deck is the right one for them, they're a bit too fragile to be wading into combat.darkroom gaming games workshop warhammer underworlds beastgrave direchasm grashrak's despoilers khagra's ravagers seven hills

Remember the absurd amount of terrain I put together from the Kill Team: Into The Dark box? FINALLY got it finished today! I realised I was massively overthinking it and that I didn't actually need to do remotely as much detail as I thought. I primed in black, did a low airbrushed zenithal highlight of this wonderful dark blue metallic colour, then a higher one of copper, airbrushed white for the lights, then picked out a few details in red, and it looks fantastic on the tabletop.

Got a bit more of the garden bed done this afternoon, including a drain grate thing (it's not wonky, it's just angled slightly downwards). Previously the rain that fell on the pergola came down the drainpipe and dispersed through the dirt, which ended up just dribbling out from between the wood and causing a big puddle over the back-right of the bricks. I expect the water will still come through the wood but hopefully it's far enough to the left that the water will just flow down onto the grass now. 🤞🏻

Phew, that was a productive afternoon. Pulled up all the weeds and dead mulch in half of our side garden, plus pruned a bunch of the dead fronds from the palm trees, then put weed mat down and fresh mulch. The other half will have to wait for another day because a) I'm out of steam, b) there's way more weeds than the half I did, and c) the garbage bin is full.
