A photo of a Roland A-49 MIDI keyboard in white sitting on my (also white) desk. As the name suggests it has 49 keys, and has a number of buttons and knobs on the left hand side.

It look longer than expected, but it's finally here! 🎉 The keys are _very_ nice-feeling, there's a really good weight to them. And I haven't read the manual yet so I have no idea what this is about, but the very lowest key is marked "Panic".

Two fully-painted goblin miniatures, they're both very characterful, short, and are wearing black robes. One has a helmet on that leaves his face bare but has a big pointy chin bit in the armour, and is holding a yellow shield in one hand and a sword aloft in the other. The other has a full face mask and you can't actually see his face at all, and he's holding a yellow shield aloft and is carrying what looks like a wooden lance but with a sword blade attached to the end of it.

I'm taking a break from Warhammer Quest and Kill Team to get stuck back into some Warhammer Underworlds! I decided to start the goblins of Grinkrak's Looncourt and have done two of the little fellas so far. I'm just doing the box art scheme because it's simple and I like the look of it, keen to get the other five done and get them onto the table.

Beanie loves it when daylight savings hits because it means we're up early enough that he can snooze in the sunshine by the window at the front door.

A photo of a Suhr "Reactive Load / I.R." load box. It's a chonky metal box with curved edges along the top, and several silver dials and switches on the front, plus two seven-segment red LED displays at the left marked "Bank" and "Cab".

First new bit of guitar kit in a while! I already have a load box, but the problem with it is that there's no headphone output which means I need to plug it into my USB audio interface which _does_ have a headphone output but is all wired up to my computer setup, which in turn means I can't play my tube amp anywhere except our home office. This new Suhr one has a headphone output and can be powered from my pedal board power supply so I'll be able to take the amp and pedal board to the front of the house and play with my full setup there, AND it has an auxiliary input as well so I can plug my iPad into it and play along to music or just use GarageBand's backing dummer functionality to have a drum kit to keep in time with. I have to say, though, this thing is significantly larger than I was expecting!

A photo of the box of Apple's AirPods Pro second-generation earbuds.

Woot, these will be a nice upgrade over my increasingly janky Powerbeats Pro that I bought like six or seven years ago. The braided charging cable is SO much nicer than the old plastic ones. The other thing that'll be nice with these is being able to fit them into my pocket when we go on the Metro where I don't have my bag and can't bring my AirPods Max. The case for the Powerbeats Pro is just ABSURDLY large, and bounces around uncomfortably even in the leg pockets of my cargo pants. And it also means my migration to USB-C everywhere continues apace!

There's lots of cards and dice everywhere, and in middle are a bunch of variously-shaped tiles connected together that look like the inside of a set of buildings. There's four hero miniatures at the right (one heavily-armoured warrior woman with a sword, a vampire hunter with a long leather coat and a big hat, a steampunk dwarf, and a priest with a rich red robe and a big staff) plus four groups of hostile miniatures at various points on the board (three zombies, three skeletons, three bat swarms, and a very large Mongolian-dress zombie thing with a huge axe).

We had @wobin over for Warhammer Quest and a barbecue today! The Warhammer Quest journey type was "Scavenge" so we could get some gear and currency to level up, it was a similar kind of deal to the others where the map is pre-made, but oh my god I don't think I've EVER seen as poor rolling as @wobin had today. At one point he spent all four of his activation dice making attacks without hitting a single thing, and that was rolling the equivalent of a 3+. 😫 I think he made one single attack successfully, and ended up getting wailed upon by a Kosargi Night Guard which mean he had three grevious wound counters and so had to rely on one activation dice and whatever spare Destiny dice we had left. In the previous game we'd upgraded his character with a piece of equipment that let him attempt to recover wounds on a 4+ instead of a 5+, and literally every single role he made for this he failed. We had @yayKM roll two of them, and she made one success and failed the other. Thankfully, nobody ended up dying and we did actually get a good stash of stuff and have some good upgrades for the next game, but oh man.

A photo of our back yard, covered in calf-high long grass and weeds. Part of the patio is visible also has a bunch of weeds growing from in between the bricks.

The after photo, same view but with the grass short and neat and tidy and the patio free of weeds.

First job of the long weekend was a VERY overdue mowing of the lawn. It was so long that the bin was completely full from the clippings in the back yard and so I didn't even bother doing the front. Also mowed/whippersnipped the horrendous mess of weeds that's at the side of the house where the hot water system and air conditioning compressor are, where we never go. I started an "Outdoor Walk" workout on my Apple Watch and when I finished it had registered about 1750 active kilojoules after an hour and a half. For comparison my 45 minute workouts on the elliptical are typically around 2000 active kilojoules, so that was a decent effort. ::collapses in a heap::
