Tonight Kristina and I played Warhammer Underworlds: Beastgrave again, this time with fully painted miniatures (🎉), and GOD DAMN it was a close game! She was smashing me by the middle of the 2nd round, my leader was out of action as were two others and I only had two left. I managed to pull off a win though, by one single glory point. Champion of the match goes to Karthaen who was upgraded to be an absolute BEAST and single-handedly took out three enemy fighters on his own.

A photo of a Warhammer Underworlds: Beastgrave miniature. It's a goatman with black horns with his head tilted slightly back and mouth open like he's bellowing. He has a staff in one hand with a huge horned skull on the top, and a knife in the other that's dripping blood, and he has lots of skulls attached with string dangling from him.

Bam, that's Gashrak Fellhoof done. Really happy with how he turned out, I've been experimenting with getting the best colours for drybrushing and actually ended up using Cadian Fleshtone for the highlight colour on his fur and his red top and hood. I just need to add glossy varnish to the blood on his knife so it looks wet!

A photo of the box of the latest Warhammer: Underworlds expansion, called "Direchasm". It's got a very serious but very pretty looking elf on the front (which are apparently called "aelves" in Warhammer now).

I can quit any time I want to. ::twitch::

(In my defence, Kristina wholeheartedly encouraged me to get this because she wants to play as the Aelves).

A photo of a Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team board with three pieces of bit chunky industrial-looking terrain on it. Two have horizontal pipes going into chimney stacks, and the centrepiece is a massive two-storey thing with a wide platform on the first level and a smaller one in the middle on the second.

There we go, all the terrain is put together (miniatures included for scale)! Really happy with how it's ended up, the bits that are already silver are the pieces of the old terrain that I incorporated into the new bits. For the pipes I actually pulled them apart and reattached them in new ways, for the walkway at the left I just glued it as it was onto the side of the new one.

A photo of two boxes of Warhammer 40,000 terrain, the "Alchomite Stack" and "Ferratonic Incinerator". It's extremely industrial-looking, borderline steampunk.

Aw yeah, got two sets of more of the type of terrain that comes in the Kill Team box. I'm thinking of pulling apart a couple of the existing pieces that I have and attaching some of this to it (it's all interchangeable and I've only fully painted two pieces so far, the rest is just base-coated).

I can't emphasise how much I love Games Workshop's "Contrast" paints. It took me a bit under two hours to go from nothing but undercoat to this point.
