We had another visit from Ben today, dropped Beanie down to one single one of his pills, and honestly I think we could have entirely done without them! Beanie didn't even bark to start with, and after that it was just excited barking rather than panicked. We played Warhammer Underworlds again but with me in an advisory role and it went really well, was a close game right up until the end.

Had another four-player game of Warhammer Underworlds today! I played Hrothgorn's Mantrappers for the first time and won with them. Though next time we're going to do two 1v1 games, because a four-player game with three people who aren't experts takes a while, haha.

Another night of Ben over for Warhammer Underworlds and dinner and getting Beanie used to having people over, and it was a smashing success. It only took Beanie maybe 15 minutes to calm himself down (we gave him the same amount of calming medicine as last time), and have booked in another night for the same again, so really interested to see how that goes.

We got some new medicine for Beanie to give him before someone comes over, to hopefully stop him freaking out and barking the whole time. Ben came over for dinner and a couple of games of Warhammer Underworlds, and I'm delighted to report that the medicine worked a treat! Beanie did his usual barking to start with, but he was able to calm down afterwards and we had a lovely quiet evening! We're going to schedule some more games and visits from Ben and hopefully get Beanie used to people again, and fingers crossed can taper off the medicine so we can have people over to our house like we used to be able to without needing to give Beanie anything at all. 🤞🏻

Birthday haul! This should keep me going for a while. And I'm getting another three Warhammer Underworlds warbands from my parents when we see them weekend after next. 😅

It was spooky ladies versus murder ladies tonight! Unfortunately the murder ladies are now two losses out of two games played. Partially my fault again, they require a lot more careful play than some of the other warbands, and I screwed up placing the objective tokens. Kristina had some very tricksy plays too though, which screwed me over at a couple of points!

Another game of Warhammer Underworlds tonight! I played my murder-ladies for the first time (Morgwaeth's Blade-coven) and sadly didn't win. I can definitely see the potential though, and there were some very unlucky dice rolls at a few critical points. They're pretty sneaky as befits aelves, keen to play a few more games with them.

Oh man, I just did my first ever glaze for miniature painting (I thinned out Flesh Tearers Red with Contrast Medium in a 1:8 ratio), and hot damn am I a convert. Look at how rich that red looks now!
