A photo of the box of the Warhammer Underworlds warband "The Grymwatch", which are essentially zombies. Also a bunch of little different coloured tufts of grass that are designed to stick onto a miniature's base and add visual interest, and a tub of "muddy ground" brown texture paint, also for basing.

I'm excited to see what interesting things I can do with these little basing grass tufts and the "muddy ground" texture! Got a few ideas already, and definitely no lack of miniatures on which to use them. And I decided to pick up the Grymwatch having seen someone do a WAY cooler paint job with them than the standard one.

Skaeth's WIld Hunt are on one side, and they're all elegant and flowing wood elf-like creatures, with the leader being a centaur, and on the other side Grashrak's Despoilers are ugly and brutish-looking goat-men.

We went back to OG Beastgrave for our game of Warhammer Underworlds tonight, Grashrak's Despoilers vs. Skaeth's Wild Hunt. I've been watching videos from Tabletop Sydney where they play Underworlds and so have been getting a really firm grasp of tactics, and Kristina was a bit concerned that she'd just never end up winning again. So for this game I played an advisory role and Kristina ended up winning 14-8!

We had a Lady Harrow vs. Morgok rematch tonight, and it was a bit of a blow-out, I won 17-7, haha.

More Warhammer Underworlds tonight, Kristina's really enjoying playing Morgok's Krushas. This ended up being a SUPER close game, Kristina won it 12 glory to 11!

We had a Hrothgorn vs. Morgok rematch tonight, and wow did it go differently! My strategy actually worked a treat, and I killed Morgok himself in the first round (he ended up getting very ganged-up on). I only lost Luggit & Thwak, and was able to kill Thugg as well with some clever pushing into lethal hexes and Bushwakka's trap.

The miniatures are 3 heavily-armoured orruks (orks) on Kristina's side, and on mine are 3 gnoblars (goblins), a sabretooth tiger, and Hrothgorn who is a huge ogre with a massive crossbow.

A close of Thugg vs. Bushwakka and Luggit & Thwak. The latter is two gnoblars, one on the shoulders of the other, with the top one swinging a big axe over his head. Bushwakka is another gnoblar, he's carrying a bear-trap. Thugg is a big heavily-armoured orruk who's in mid-swing with his weapons. The two gnoblars are VERY small-looking next to Thugg.

We played Warhammer Underworlds again tonight, Kristina played the orruks of Morgok's Krushas and smashed me. (In my defence, my strategy was good but I was let down by some very poor dice rolls on my part, and a couple of very lucky ones on Kristina's). My favourite moment was my two (three) brave little gnoblars taking on Thugg. Sadly I rolled badly and nothing came of it. 😞

We had another visit from Ben today, dropped Beanie down to one single one of his pills, and honestly I think we could have entirely done without them! Beanie didn't even bark to start with, and after that it was just excited barking rather than panicked. We played Warhammer Underworlds again but with me in an advisory role and it went really well, was a close game right up until the end.

Had another four-player game of Warhammer Underworlds today! I played Hrothgorn's Mantrappers for the first time and won with them. Though next time we're going to do two 1v1 games, because a four-player game with three people who aren't experts takes a while, haha.

Another night of Ben over for Warhammer Underworlds and dinner and getting Beanie used to having people over, and it was a smashing success. It only took Beanie maybe 15 minutes to calm himself down (we gave him the same amount of calming medicine as last time), and have booked in another night for the same again, so really interested to see how that goes.
