We played some more Warhammer Underworlds tonight, my sneaky tricksy Skaven versus @yayKM's filthy goatmen. I ended up winning 11-8 but MAN was it tight right up until my very last activation of the whole game. The attacks I made in my second last and last activations were absolutely critical, because had I flubbed them — or had @yayKM successfully defended — she would have won 8-5 instead. Fully SIX glory came from killing her leader (two for killing him because he was a Large fighter, and another four from three different objectives)!
Mid-week Warhammer Underworlds with @[email protected]!
This time it was me playing the tricksy Skaven, Skittershank's Clawpack, and him playing Khagra's Ravagers. I'd played the Clawpack once before and it went disastrously poorly, but it seems to depend entirely on the cards you draw and when. This time was FAR better, there were lots of fun things to do and we ended up calling it at the end of the second round when I was ahead 13-7 and he had only a single fighter left.
Well, I might have done a fantastic job painting the miniatures, but good god was the standard deck that Skittershank's Clawpack comes with rubbish. I couldn't do half the stuff, scored all of 2 glory by most of the way through the second round, and we gave up at that point.
Fortunately Kristina said the Shadeborn deck was a lot of fun, so that's good at least. I'll need to pull the Clawpack deck apart and make it better.
Got the Skaven warband from the Warhammer Underworlds: Nethermaze core box finished! Very happy with how they came out, and the miniatures are definitely up there in terms of my favourite sculpts. Next up will be the Shadeborn, which are ALSO fucking awesome-looking miniatures (https://virtualwolf.org/media/posts/2063).
